Ooh, lucky! When my barbell was places it was placed very awkwardly at the time. It was VERY slanted: / Ick. I want to have it re-done in the future but I have a few cavities to fill first. The slave ring ones are not bad, but they do feel a bit weird in the mouth. At least, for me they did. :-) I just wore plain acrylic balls most of the time.

I have tips for you use mouthwash with no alcohol to keep it clean. plus if you use the tongue piercing jewelry with the soft top balls they are better then metal cause you won't have to worry about cracking your teeth. plus the top of your tongue will heal faster then the bottom so suck on ice and stick to cold drinks. The only alcohol free mouthwash I could find was made by Colgate, who I do not buy from for ethical reasons so I am sticking with a sea salt saline solution which according to some is better then the mouthwash. Once my tongue has healed I am definately getting some barbells with acrylic balls, I do not want to find bits of my teeth in my mouth like some people have experienced O.o
