"Annie" the orphaned moose calf found in New Vineyard this Spring was rescued by Wildlife Biologist Chuck Hulsey. She was found abandoned. Biologists watched from a distance for a 12 hour period to see if her mother would return. When the mother cow did not return to the calf she was brought to Falls Road Veterinary Clinic where she was evaluated for malnourishment and dehydration. She is now at the Maine Wildlife Park where she is being rehabilitated.
If you think an animal may be orphaned, please call an IF&W regional biologist to see whether that is the case. Please, do not pick it up and take it home.
She seems so calm, was she sedated?

This is so inspiring. Don't worry i wont' try and do this on my own though. But i truly do admire the vets and all the people it took to rescue this animal.
