This is a short video of my Hi-Point 995 carbine. For now it is my travel weapon which I carry with me on trips outside of my home state. I chose the Hi-Point for my travel weapon because it is dead reliable, fires a very easy to find caliber and seems to be able to digest anything that I feed it without a hiccup. It's compact and light, accurate, easy to manuever in thick brush. Some may balk at the 10 round magazine capacity, but 10 rounds keeps it legal in all the states I am likely to drive through. It replaced my Ruger 10/22 as my travel weapon.

  • How many rounds have you fired so far? Do it feed ammo reliably?

  • @machineguntongue I've put close to 500 rounds through it. it's very reliable. it ate steel case ammo with no problems...even the old lacquer coated ammo without any FTF or FTE failures. I can't say that all Hi-Point 995s will handle it, but mine never skipped a beat.

  • 45 vs 9mm ...Go!

  • What a great rifle. Carbine, I meant. Lol. Thanks for your reply.

Every Youtube poster I asked loves these. No hiccups, super reliable. A lot of fun.

This will be my next buy. Just after a G26. Pistol first, Carbine second. But both in 9mm. More affordable to shoot and an HD powerful hitter with Federal 147 HST.
