Those nations which claimed to be communist, and claim it currently, are capitalist. In their prime as "communist nations" they were state capitalist.

Communism is a society in which the means of production are owned in common, with no state, no class, and no money. Marxism-Leninism, deviated from Marxist theory and became an antithetical ideology.

No society has even achieved a dictatorship of the proletariat, aside from the Paris Commune.

@hilletehnoob I do not defend communist countries or commies, because I don't agree in their ideology. However, I dislikes people like yourself trying to belittle others when you do not understand their standpoint. I know not much about North Korea nor Cuba. But I do know that democracy is being used to invade other countries. I also believe that if NK did not have nukes US or NATO would controlled that country long ago, and use them against China and Russia.

@eflip1 every communist country was poor,that's why they collapsed.It's not only poverty that they bring,they bring opression,they bring death to every opposition,they have a corrupt political class that lives so much better than the common people in North korea for example,they were poor before economic sanctions.

Everyone i have came to meet defending north korean,cuban and communist regimes was a communist,i don't know bout you but i am pretty sure you are as well.

@hilletehnoob we'll actually, I don't hate them if that's what you mean. I don't get why you would hate them, and say they are not good because they bring poverty to their countries. When it's us who put sanctions on them which is the reason that they are poor. I don't know why this makes me a commie.

@eflip1 venezuela has a pseudo-democracy,which is very different from a democracy,it's no democracy at all.Cuba and especially NK are not only disgosting regimes and ideology but also one of those regimes which bring extreme poverty to their countries,if you love them so much go live there for sometime commie.

@hilletehnoob Venezuela has a democratic government. North Korea and Cuba both do not like to be dominated by any imperial powers and are facing sanctions. Besides, they have head of state similar to the UK. Except, we are able to criticize our head of state, I think. So in the UK, the Queen has a lot of power. We may not be able to witness the queen flex her muscle, but she's got it.
