  • From the angle where the camera is placed...The pianist doesn't look like Libetta. The pianist looks far younger in fact.

  • He was born in 1968-still looks younger than he is...

  • What I don't get is if this is meant to be a big encore why on earth would he use the music for it???

  • I understand that he was asked to learn this with 2 days notice just for this occasion

  • With the score..

  • @OrangeSodaKing yeah, agree! me too, i learned the first part, not just the first page, in just an hour or two, it's just easy.. BUT GOD the TRIO? it's just oh yeah, BRUTAL! hahaha..

  • @RicAbapo Yeah I learned the first part in a day, but the trio is brutal...

  • He wouldn't have needed the music for any other reason than to remember the layout. For some reason, memorising notes is more automatic than which order the sections come. I never stopped to think why that might be.

  • that piano bench is huge!

  • @miamipianofestival WOW 2 days?? T-W-O DAYS??????? MY GOD!!!!! hell no! (well, the first is just easy, one can learn it just an hour or two, but the somewhat "trio" part and finale is SO HARD!!!!!! for two days!!!)

  • Happy fourth of July!

  • Rather amazing playing, hats off for that. Makes Americans feel good about their country, after all, it's always blameless. That is how Americans are educated.

  • That seat is enormous!

  • I'm amazed he learned this in two days, because this is much better than any of Volodos's performances of this transcription, and Volodos's known this piece for years.

  • @marcohorowitz8 It's a special artistic bench that is matched with the artcase piano "The Rhapsody" on which he's playing for the event.
