Derrick J Set To Perform At The Hilton In Las Vegas
A dream come true for our very own Derek Junkeer better known by his fans as Derek J! On September 19, Derrick J's phone was ringing incessantly and he certainly was not expecting to hear what he heard on the other side of the line.
The food and beverage manager of the Hilton in Las Vegas had come across Derrick's clips on Youtube singing one of Engelbert Humperdinck's tracks of whom he was a huge fan, and that was it! Derrick was invited to perform at the Vegas Hilton, the number one entertainment capital in the world on the November 12!

The modest Derrick did not hide his joy at the invitation, "It is a dream come true for me as up to now I have catered for mostly Australian audiences, having been on the major TV Channels here in Australia -- namely Bert Newton's Good Morning Australia for 14 years -- Channel 10 and Ernie and Denise In Melbourne Today on Channel 9 for nine years, and now to be invited to perform at the Entertainment Capital of the world is certainly too good to be true."

Derrick says he hopes this performance will open new career possibilities for him and he intends to take full opportunity of his stay in Vegas to watch as many shows as possible which are taking place every night on the Vegas strip.
