This "concerto" make me dream.... Specially at 2:45, when the piano wander in marvelous way with the horn.... And guess what: when I checked the score, the Liszt indication to this part was "sognando" (dreaming...).... AMAZING!

I agree, don't understand how so many people think the first concerto is the best, much as I love it.

I assume this is from the1960s LP. Magnificent recording. Eb and A major. I haven't seen the opening photo of Liszt before.

I'm playing this piece; that has to be one of the hardest passages to play at that speed
One of Liszt's most beautiful pieces IMO, there is a real connection with Schumann's Concerto - with passages that sound like chambermusic.
Difficult to stop listening this...
