After the 2007 Lake Creek blowout the river created a new rapid. At the very end of the rapid a massive whole has developed river center. We took it dead center, full steam with a heavily loaded 18 foot raft and it almost took us. You can see as we break through the boat lists to the left and hesitates ever so slightly. The river most likely had mercy on us as one of the passengers sitting on my dry box in the front is 79 years old and had been dumped the day before.
In our group I mean.

A couple months after the blowout we did it. It's pretty tough to miss the giant hole at low water. Scariest thing was that no one had ever done it.
