Hi, it wasnt leaking, it was just that the air was really humid so when i closed up the case and then the camera cooled slightly in the water it led to condensation inside the lens. ive never had that trouble in California, only in the tropics.
I fixed it the next session by wiping the inside of the port with a solution designed for camera lenses to keep water from sticking and that worked
Now, GoPro includes little moisture absorbing silica packs to put in the housing so problem solved!
