Burt was our Norwich Terrier who was with us for 16+ wonderful years.
He was the best friend and companion anyone could have wished for.
May he greet us in heaven with his tail wagging.
Rest in peace, Burt. We love and miss you. Angela & Joe - March, 2009

  • Thank you; I miss him terribly. Saw his little face in a cloud while out walking the other day...he's all around me all the time.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • As a long-time breeder of Norwich Terriers, this tribute truly warms my heart. All Norwich Terriers deserve a home and a life like Burt had. He was one very lucky little dog, and that's to say the very least. You will never stop missing Burt, but hopefully you will be blessed with another who will carve out a little niche of his own, and help to fill the void in your lives.

  • Thank you so much for your kind words....tears in my eyes. I knew once he hit 16, the days ahead were precious as we lost Burt's grandfather at age 16 as well. He died suddenly. Here one minute and gone the next and in my arms, so I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you again for taking the time to watch the video. God bless you!!!

  • What a beautiful tribute to Burt. He looked like a very happy and beloved dog. We lost our Norwich on March 10, and are still trying to deal with the grief. He was almost 15 years old, and he was the joy of our lives. I can empathize with the loss you must be feeling, as however long we have them is never long enough. Thank you for such a lovely memorial to your wonderful Norwich.

  • You are very welcome. I know what you are going through. The emptiness never goes away and you can be sure your dog and Burt are playing together - those Norwiches stick together!!! Make a video too- it helps heal the soul.

  • A lovely tribute.

  • Thank you for your comment. - Eliot is adorable. Burt lives on in my heart through other wonderful dogs.

  • @skyscot hi you are a norwich terrier breeder ? Do you have any norwich terrier puppies for sale or do you know anyone who does ? i am interested in adopting one . please let me know .

  • Thanks for putting up this beautiful video. I lost my baby dachshund, Chili, 3 weeks ago. I hurt so much, but I know that we gave her a wonderful happy life and that gives me a lot of comfort. Your video reminds me so much of the life of my dog....we took her with us everywhere and she was our everything. It appears that Burt had a similar life....dogs are so special....I hope one day to heal enough to get another.

  • I just cam across your lovely tribute to Burt -- and I see that my breeder, skyscot, has been here before me. I bought 4 of my 5 Norwich from her and I have loved every one of them. Two are with me now but the other 3 I will never forget. I can still picture each like they were here yesterday, even now. But the pain that was daily, fades and I hope by now yours has two. Burt is a spitting image of Chester, my second Norwich, my very special buddy. I'm sure he was very happy.

  • Gods little gifts to us. Sorry for your loss, our family watched the video. I found your video because I had also posted a tribute video of my dog Grizzly the dolphin dog. I think Burt and Grizzly are waiting for us at the feet of Jesus

  • My wife and I are empty nesters and are thinking about getting a Norwich as our dog of choice. I first saw this breed in the movie Best in Show and fell in love with it. We want a small, house dog. This is just perfect. As far as the person who says that we need a 30 year dog, that is of course a sentiment, but think of it as having a family member being 150 years old. the illnesses and physical well being would be terrible

  • My fiance and I are looking to get a Norwich terrier. We met one and knew this was the dog for us
