The Lion's Club International is known worldwide for helping people with vision problems and blindness. Here is one little girl that they are trying to help. If you would like to help MacKayla and her family, donations can be made by calling 519-649-2457. A trust fund has been designated to help MacKayla get to California every year to see her doctors, as well as help pay for her costly growth hormone medicine. You may also contact the Lion's Club International, London Ontario Branch for more information. Thank you.

  • Good job keep up the fight she is a doll

  • Your daughter is beautiful. My daughter has ONH/SOD also. She is only blind in one eye though. She receives growth hormone and thyroid replacement right now...and is monitored for future hormone risks. Fortunately she has not been very sick. She also has autism. Good Luck to you and your family. It isn't easy to find stuff on this diagnoses.

  • GOD BLESS.

  • my daughter also has onh, and is 7 now, we didn't find out what she had untill she was 6 months old..but she is doing great with visibility, she falls alot, and had limited depth precision..but she try's so hard, and i can see in your daughter alot of simularities..just know they think it's normal, and there every day life, i wouldn't change my daughter for any thing..it's a disibility, but one we can help with.

  • I posted on your video as well... But that idea is great! I think that it would be amazing to see them together.

Mackayla is really something... she amazes us each and everyday!!!

  • Your daughter is an amazing little girl. I wish you a lot of luck hope and success in finding treatments for her. So far Stevie hasn't shown any other issues aside from ONH. I plan on bringing Stevie up to Canada for a draft test in the next year or so. I would love to bring him to see your daughter if you think it would be beneficial. He's a registered therapy dog and loves kids.

  • My son has ONH/SOD, bilateral nystagmus and autism. We've been forunate enough, however, that his pituitary gland is working normally. Good luck to you and your family, you'll be in our thoughts.
