  • It's rediculous that I am limited by how much text I can write here on Youtube :(...

Cont...Not too sure about that. I love the interface of the HTC Desire and Samsung so any comments would be appreciated.

  • @tikingful The phone is running Android 2.1 in the review, Samsung have said the 2.2 update is due in September.

I had the N95 too, was a brill phone!

Multitasking is fine with this phone, always have Twitter, Gmail, live wallpapers, Music Player, Market, Browser etc. open and it doesn't slow down.

I think you're best off looking for a more detailed review of the GPS on this phone, I haven't given it a very thorough testing so far.

  • @Aaronage1 The Nokia N8 looks very nice, top notch hardware. I fear Nokia will abandon Symbian in the future since they're also pushing two other platforms (MeeGo, Meamo) Symbian doesn't seem to be progressing well, it's good software but the lack of developer love hurts it in my opinion.

HTC Desire is also a great phone, I've used one in person and it's very solid. The Galaxy S is more powerful, but Desire has the advantage of Android 2.2 at the moment :)

  • @Aaronage1 Desire only has 2.2 in certain countries as far as I know, so you may want to check that :)

  • Great review. I'm considering this phone but was wondering, how is this phone as a GPS in a car? Secondly, you mention it having a compass. Is the compass as good as the one on the Iphone? How does it look? I'm kinds torn between the HTC Desire and this one. Thanks.

  • @tikingful The GPS was ok for navigation, I've only tested it twice around town. First time Google Nav told me I arrived 1/3 mile away from the destination which is obviously no good. Second time it got it spot on to a few meters. Generally outside of the Google Navigation app GPS is responsive and tends to lock on fast, so the lack of accuracy first time could have been due to other factors.

I can't comment on how the compass compares to iPhone unfortunately, but I imagine they're similar :)

  • Did he say fuck you for watching LMAO :0

  • @Aaronage1 Than you. I went ahead and place an order with my carrier. So we will see how it handles. :) Thanks for your help and time.

  • cont...I also heard that their customer service is not all that good. Any comments? Are they always updating their phones? I have been a Nokia fan for a long time and was thinking of waiting for their new flagship model, the N8. I saw a prelimery review of the handset not too long ago and it seems awesome. One thing that I'd hope they would have change was the interface. I see they are using the symbiam platform but a newer version.

  • @Aaronage1 Thanks for the reply. I have had a Nokia N95 8gig since it first came out and I love how it handles multi-tasking with ease. Nokia has always been the first to do multi-tasking, and done right. How does this phone handle multi-tasking?I cannot recall. Were you using the new Android 2.2 interface for this review? The GPS does not sound too promising. I really hope it is just a glitch or a minor software issue. The N95 handles that very well.
