Minecraft Fire crysis!

Sudenly Fire!! Fire everywhere!!
My main base was created mainly by wood, and i used a lavafall as light source to my basement and upper floors.
But then Notch(the creator of minecraft) made a new update to the game "Lava now sets stuff on fire", i did my best to stop the fire :P

this was made when lava didn't burn stuff , but the he must have update to the version where it does ,LOL

In 1.8 you could have just walked 150 blocks away and it would have stopped :P
I remember those days when that didn't happen in alpha xD

Same happened to me a while ago. Didn't have buckets though and my house burnt :(
