  • its climbing a mountain thats y it is smoking!!....

  • Bunyi enjin sama dengan 25 kelas tanah air aku.

  • In Sri Lanka politicians dont develop the country. When development occurs it is because foreigners come and do everything for them and leave. Even now SL will only develop if China and India come there and do all the hard work

  • Thanks. I didn't knw that we(indians) too sent locos to SL!

Yeah, they should develop the railways, with electrification, AC coaches etc..

  • You are up-to date with locos bro.

  • Henschel Thyssen (Kassel W.Germany). 1650hp. Imported to Sri Lanka in 1979

  • German engines were called "Hanschel" I'm not sure of correct spelling.

  • The diesel loco in this vid is from Germany imported some 30 yrs ago. They are known as M6 in SL. Sadly they not properly maintained and that is why you see a lot of smoke from the smoke stack. There are a lot of German/Indian/Canadian locos in SL.

  • This is a Diesel Locomotive. I guess Sri Lanka still uses the metre guage rail lines. From where does the SL Railway get the locomotives? I don't think they are from India.

  • nice ! diesel i suppose? or is it steam?
