Urquhart castle is situated 2 miles from Drumnadrochit, Inverness-shire. The building was blown up in 1692 to prevent it becoming a Jacobite stronghold. It is now owned by the National Trust for Scotland and there is a visitor centre which includes a shop and restaurant. You get a good view from the top of the tower and can see the layout of the ruins.
i would love to buy and renovate it and spend the rest of my life there!
