Sunbeam snakes are known for their iridescent scales that turn colors of the rainbow in bright sunshine. Here is a video showing the colors of sunbeams. On http://ThailandSnakes.com I have complete descriptions of the snakes you find here on my YT account.

These snakes are ground dwellers and burrowers. They love to get under things. They are not active during the daytime and hide to protect their eyes, and probably their skin from the heat of the sun.

They eat frogs, lizards, geckos, and other snakes. They kill by constriction - squeezing the air out of their prey.

These are rather tame snakes - I've never seen one bite - even straight from the wild. Good thing because this one has a strong body and mouth.

  • Is it poisonous?

  • @nephentes33 I'm sure you could eat it. Poisonous means it can harm you by eating it. Venomous is what snakes are, and this one isn't.

  • Thats a pet right?

  • @PoXPuLar no

  • OMG.

I was lying in bed the other night thinking about how cool death adders were and how beautiful they looked. Then I thought: "how awesome would it be if there was a rainbow snake."

.... and well I'll be damned, there IS a rainbow snake.
