Apple, on September 1st 2010, refreshed their iPod lines supplying us with an iPod shuffle with physical buttons, a smaller iPod nano with a mulit-touch screen, and an improved iPod Touch with a Retina display and duel cameras. Apple also announced a new version of iTunes, 10, with Apple's new social network called Ping. iOS software updates are slated for the immediate future and Apple TV has seen a tremendous overhaul.

  • u have pretty eyes lol

  • @TheFlipgirl101 Thanks.

  • Did you know the rear camera on the iPod can only take still photos at 960*720? That's barely 0.7MP, MASSIVELY inferior to the 5MP camera on the iPhone 4. In this respect it is still not a iPhone without the phone, it effectively still have no photo taking ability, only video.

  • @RealmEternal I did know that. It isn't nearly as good as the 5MP camera on the iPhone, but I wouldn't call it a deal breaker.

  • They should add a kickstand to the iPhone iPod touch and iPad to watch movies without holding it

  • @therevivedone As for the gyroscope? Seems nice. But I will wait until some developers put it into GOOD use. HD Video over WiFi is a very nice feature but the camera doesnt have focus and its reaction to light takes a while as it is a small camera.

All in all, its not worth the upgrade if you already have a good jailbroken 2nd or 3rd generation. Mostly 3rd generation as the RAM will allow multitasking and the speed is much better than the second generation.

  • @therevivedone The video (mostly the fixed focus) was the deal breaker for me. I have a second generation and RAM and Speed aren't going to make me upgrade. I DO think however that iOS 4.1 can be pretty useful. Not as useful as a jailbroken one but its going to be decent. Retina display is amazing but personally, that alone isnt a good reason to upgrade. Thats just my opinion.

The main reason I wanted it was for the camera and facetime (which takes a while to use on the iPod)

  • why wud apple put glee on their homepage. GLEE IS GAY

  • ipod touch was for me the best update mostly because im getting it, by the way project sword AWESOME

  • @MINORCALE yeah i know, but Some people think it's à shame, I don't;)

  • @Vugt89 You can't add videos on it so you won't be able to watch videos on it.

  • you have a good iphone channel, but a really REALLY annoying face.

  • @MrPingpongplaya
