Patricia Kopatchinskaja (violin)
Fazıl Say (piano)

Born into a family of musicians in Moldavia, she grew up in Austria, where she won her first awards in the early 21st century. Her career began in Germany and then blossomed throughout the world as she worked with Peter Eötvös, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Howard Griffiths, Philippe Herreweghe Mariss Jansons, Neeme and Paavo Järvi, Louis Langrée, Sir Roger Norrington, Sakari Oramo, Fazil Say, Sol Gabetta, Mihaela Ursuleasa and Henri Sigfridsson, among other musicians. PatKop is equally at home on period and modern instruments, and her unique eclecticism, temperament and style are immediately recognisable. She is passionately interested in contemporary music, which she not only plays but also composes. She has premiered the numerous works dedicated to her, which include Fazil Say's violin concerto.

PatKop's encounter with Fazil Say was like a musical marriage of true minds. The fiery pair, who recently appeared in the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, has thrilled and astonished audiences across Europe for the past few years.

Naïve is proud to present Patricia Kopatchinskaja's first duo album with Fazil Say.

  • Patricia Kopatchinskaja barefoot fiddler is wonderful...

  • piyanist şantör kim ? :D

  • The performance of the (wonderful) Ravel Blues is a sacrilege, horrible and some of the violin playing in the Beethoven is scratchy. Over the top indulgence, wouldnt attend a concert by thisduo if I was paid!
