Harmony of Despair - Easily level up your sub-weapons (read the description) [480p]

All you need is a controller with a turbo feature (I'm using the Street Fighter IV Fight Pad). This must be done on survival mode with the difficulty set to hard. I change the Hunter Skill (default is B) and back-dash buttons so I can constantly turbo and not exit the menus by accident. The way you level up your skills is by the number of hits, not by damage or kills.

Set the attack you want to use to down + Hunter Skill. Make sure you have the Master Ring and Astral Ring equipped. Set the turbo to the Hunter Skill and back-dash buttons and hold down when you attack. Once you run out of health, kill yourself to continue attacking.

I find it best to hold diagonally down and towards the boss to stay facing it. Constantly back-dashing is surprisingly hard to control at first, but you'll soon get the hang of it. When you're back-dashing you're invincible so it's sometimes hard to die.

After using all the weapons, I've found out which should be used with which method.

Constantly back-dashing with a fast turbo, then stopping when you run out of health;
Knife
Kunai
Paper Airplane
Shuriken (at the boss' feet)
Ignis (fire)
Fulgur (lightning)
Grando (ice)
Nitesco (engergy beam)

Constantly using a slow turbo with no back-dash;
Holy Water (at the boss' feet)
Grenade (at the boss' feet)
Axe
Bible
Boomerang
Shuriken (at the boss' feet)
Holy Cross (at the boss' feet)

The Wrecking Ball is not effective at all using any method so use it normally.

I changed the zoom in the options menu to go to its maximum at the start. This was done by switching the actual zoom and x3 around.

As cool as it is that you can throw out so many items/magic so quickly, the turbo itself doesn't help Jonathans leveling. All this does is kill the boss extremely quick and make you stand there for about 2 minutes after. If you use normal button mashing and backdash cancelling the boss will usually die around a minute give or take and you get the same amount of leveling as you would with turbo. Also, this is counter productive ie Water, Axe, Bible, etc as multiple hits will miss. Still cool tho.
