The M Club Banner Incident - Michigan 1973

I hate Michigan. Ergo, I also hate their banner. Fortunately, the 1973 Ohio State football team felt the same way and ripped it down, disassembling it before the Wolverines can do their little touching thing that they do. The banner was eventually reassembled, but it threw off the timing of the Michigan introduction in an obvious way. In the process, this was one of the defining images of the Ten Year War of the 1970s.

** NOTE ** : This is the original TV feed, but TV feeds aren't so reliable. The feed comes back from commercial right as Ohio State had just torn it down. It's technically not "live", but you see it. It's there.

Kudos to you, 1973 Buckeyes.

@KingFootballMan1111 How many times did Tressel beat Michigan without cheating? And yes it was cheating whether you want to admit it or not. Recieving any sort of compensation whatsoever nullifies your amateur status as far as being an athlete goes. And plus Tressel knew that stuff was going on for a long time and never did anything about it. Where's the integrity? Ohio State has such a huge inferiority complex that they will do whatever it takes to win, legal or otherwise.
