Max Brod: Paradies (words: Franz Kafka)

written in 1951, Max Brod chose these words from his friend Franz Kafka's diaries . Dr Max Brod (author, former cultural editor of Prager Tagblatt German-language Prague Newspaper chairman of the Artistic Council and Programmatic advisor to the Israeli National Theatre Habimah visited Prague in 1964 where he inaugurated an exhibition on Franz Kafka. Max Brod's memorial plaque in Prague opposite Franz Kafka's grave says: "Dr Max Brod, born in Prague, writer, thinker, champion of Czech culture abroad, friend of Franz Kafka and interpreter of his work".
