SISTERS PLEASE LETS STOP THE LYES!!!

We need natural beauty!! All the weaves and chemicals downplay the true beauty we have!! I can not emphasize this enough!! Now we have trained our daughters to hate their hair by chemically relaxing, weaving etc!! we have to stop this madness! You can still flat iron your hair, just please please stop putting chemicals ON YOUR HEAD!!!!!!

did the beatuician wake up the individual and make them get a relaxer NO women come in and get relaxers because they want one. Dont hate on the cosmotologists because they are makin money for their service of putin the chemicals on their clients hair. Women are smart and not just putting chemicals on their hair and not knowing what its goin to do to their hair. To each his own if you want a relaxer its ur business & hair do what u want with it

1) relaxers break the chemical bonds in your hair, destroying it in order to make it straight. there is no "RIGHT" way to destroy your hair.

2) no hair is impossible to maintain. you just need to relearn how to care for it properly.

3) if you dont relax your hair because you are ashamed of it in its natural state, then exactly why do you do it?

Doctors tell you to cut or limit perms when you r pregnant because it is proven to go into the placenta...if it can reach from the top of your head to the placenta, I'm sure it reaches your brain

@Craverofchocolate My hair is passed bra strap length and thick relaxed at this point. If I want I will chop it off again because it's mine, I can do that. The only issue with relaxers are the chemicals involved and most of the products and damage we do to our hair. If you have identity issues and want to look white then I think your problems go beyond what you are doing to your hair. Natural haired ladies can be just as self hating as relaxed. I appreciate the versatility of black hair.

I've been naturally and relaxed at different points in my life. I prefer my hair relaxed because of the ease in styling. I am NOT ashamed of my hair in it's natural state, I loved it. I only relax about 2 or 3 times a year. My hair has always been healthy whether natural of relaxed because i take my time with it.
