  • So in a nut shell you are saying i should hire a mechanic to do my

clutch work? LOL!!!! Why didnt you say so from the start?

  • @civicnation4two

    lol U CAN DO IT!!

  • Hey..maybe I should ask you...I have a 96 Honda Civic as well..and the problem is my clutch or whatever else the name to it. When I go from 1st to 2nd gear, majority of the time it pops out of 2nd gear ONLY..and when I do go from 2nd, after I get it into 2nd gear if I'm lucky, to 3rd gear it makes a weird, I guess a grinding-like noise. But all the other gears are fine. Any ideas what's going on here?! Thanks for your time.

  • @REnFCB4Life Sounds like you might have bad synchronizers. They help match the speed of the input and output shafts so it's easier to get in gear. When they are failing your honda will often popout of gear. Its not a huge deal. But not something you can fix real easy. I cant fix it at all short of getting a new transmission.

  • where is the airbox? is that where the intake is?

the throttle cable is nt stuck. where is the iddle control valve? plus the the cv axel turn when on neutral? i pulle out the thermostat and the temperature was good. but the rpms were fucking up..

  • @titonol So what was the issue? Did you get it fixed?

  • from how you fucked up your clutch...you should have chanfed your axels too...

  • @REnFCB4Life syncros

  • that must have smelt beautifull...

  • Yeah, you see that little pile of what looks like lint? Yeah, that's my clutch. I almost died laughing.

  • @bojo101 I got a 96 hatchback and mine will grind also... i just have to haul back hard untill it clunks hard ( you know the sound when you hear it ) and it should work fine.... also my friends 98 si does it also.... but my car got about 180k kilometers... how many does yours have?

  • i have a 95 civic si, and whenever i go to shit into reverse is grinds, i often have to swing the shifter back and forth, or double clutch it.. does anybody on here know why?lol

  • you didnt have to remove your wheel rotor,or your lower ball joint, its usually the top ball joint and the pin on the shift linkage isnt the side one its located in the bottom . and you dont have to drain the transmission

  • I'm curious as well whether it's possible to leave the driver's side wheel on, as I'll be doing my own clutch soon. Love the cupcake-pan idea for keeping the bolts organized, brilliant!

A tip for getting the camera to focus in low-light is to zoom in (optical zoom) and then back out right away. Somehow it "tricks" the auto-focus lens into focusing faster.

  • I like the way you talking, like chatting with a friend.

I wonder if you could answer me a question:

In the video, I can see the driver side wheel is still on, so you did not remove the driver side driveshaft? Was it difficult to remove the transmission while the driveshaft was still in? It seems the clearance is very tight.

    Thanks
