The Neoteric Hovertrek is an integrated craft that is higly maneuverable. It can hover is place and reverse with accuracy with proper pilot training. I have been using hovercraft from Neoteric for over 18 years. Check them out, look up Neoteric Hovercraft
Yeah, I suppose your right, but it's getting a bit old now, these have been around for a while.
The SevTec Prospector is a home built craft, made from plans, however when the plans business changed hands, the new owners now make the craft in the USA.
Something is better than nothing, and I have personally seen these type hovercrafts on rescues in the Vancouver area....they work, and they work well. Admitedly seperate lift/thrust engines and controls would be ideal, but this machine still functions....so how much is a SevTec Prospector worth?
Why do search and rescue teams always go for the craft that looks the part, but performs poorly? And in a rescue craft you idealy need a craft with sepperate lift and thrust engines/ controls. I have seen one of these craft personly and they dont have alot of control, especialy going over land/mudbanks ( due to the fact that their intergrated ) And these are the places where rescue hovercraft are most needed. The white SevTec Prospector in my Scottish vids would make a perfect rescue craft.

(Part 2)
It wouldn't all fit in one post!
These are probably made for around 5 to 10K - (UK Pounds) Depending on if you know where to get the materials.
A good ready made craft would be a Griffon 380T or a 500T - This is already used by the RNLI, However they are quite expensive.
Obviously it will HAVE TO get over hump in rough conditions. Both the Sev and the Griffons do this.
