Why was the Dead Sea Scroll written in Greek?
-
did people used to talk different back then or is it just this? Also i read a little from the "first" part of the scrolls and it basically sounded like gibberish. sounds more like irreverent poetry or a story more than something that really happened.... then again I havnt read much so correct me if im wrong

Stunningly beautiful poetry!
-
@johngravius most of it was written in hebrew with a couple written in greek and aramaic
-
this is Greek writing

There is a good amount of wrongs and rights ,but Why don't we just listen to what it had to say to see about it. It did have some good thoughts to think about above all other rights and wrongs ! Thank You !

this papyrus part has ancient Greek writings on it. Apparently it is not Aramaic.
-
why would you translate it into old english?

buncha religious scared to die freaks
That does not look like any authentic DSS fragment and the script was certainly not 'Hebrew square' script. It is Greek! And; Hebrew square script should always be called Aramaic square because it is essentially Aramaic text.

The Dead Sea scroll shown in the video is authentic but I do believe you are correct on the fact that it is mostly written in Greek.

What is the code reference? I can certainly see it is not 4QMMT, so I would like to read more.
