The annual Fair Trade Festival was at spacious Waterside in downtown Norfolk this year on Dec 5 and 6, and included two hours of Belly Dancing on Saturday evening. Here is the first of two dances by Isis Rising, the popular Middle East belly dance troupe in Hampton Roads led by Janeeda.
The Fair Trade Festival is devoted to promoting fair trade practices globally, fighting for equitable wages for farmers, artisans and craftsmen as well as battling against slavery and exploitation. At the Fair Trade Festival, you are assured that the products sold were made or grown by people who have been treated with dignity and justice.
