One of the earliest, if not the first, promos for "Saturday Morning Classix" on WTCS in Fairmont, WV. The show, hosted by Scott Reppert, was the replacement for the "Pepsi Country Countdown" which had been running for the past year to two years, taking up the bulk of late Saturday mornings.
Part of a series of radio and TV airchecks from the late 1970's to early 1990's that I will be posting here. Aside from a few national media outlets of noteable interest,
almost all of the airchecks will be from the Pittsburgh, PA and Morgantown/Fairmont/Clarksburg, WV areas. Stations featured will include KDKA, WWCP, WPGH, WTOV, WPXI, WNPB and WDTV on the television side and WTCS, WFGM, WMQC and the He's Alive Radio Network on the radio end.
