I really hope that the start screen can be reverted back to the Windows 7 start menu, that shit looks horrible.

I'm yet to find a demo of windows 8 on something that isn't touch...

This looks like Windows Mobile had children with Google Android. There is just way too much Windows Media Centre in that style. Surely they aren't going to try sell the entire OS on a system that clearly is only suitable for tablets or phones? Most tablets are already running happily on their own OSs (Android, Windows Mobile, iOS thingy), so, isn't this concept obsolete?

Shouldnt be for PC's at all

@ZephyrnixLive o_o sonny, it already has we have basically every new game running at max! check out winehq for more details. it has caught up(32 bit wise). the only thing now is the 64bit architecture and MSVC runtime issues. microsoft publishes its' kernel in a proprietary format( yet you do strike a good point, why is there an open source compiler? whats taking so long?) making it harder for emulation of executables them self.

@AngelMaressAlighT yes its the best windows dist.
honestly, i'm waiting for wine to have 100% compatibility with windows programs because all windows does is eat up unnecessary RAM and CPU. Linux, on the other hand, can run with a fourth of the resources windows 7/ 8 will need. if you don't know what linux is basically think of an operating system that uses the power XP did but performs better than 7. on top of that no disk fragmentation. did I mention it was free?

In reguards to wine. I see what your getting at. Problem is, It will never be. Wine has been out for over 6 years now and windows kepps evolving. .... it's not gonna catch up.

@dw3bb10
Which is funny, cause when I got my windows phone, I said I would like to see this interface on a tablet... lol, WOW. But it's fine. It's gonna have the ability to get to your windows area you love

Didn't Steve say that Windows 8 will come to tablets first? It looks like the table version of WP7. I think that the PC version will be slightly different.
