"Quiet zones" are ridiculous - though the horns on these ACe's are pretty damned loud. The horn mfgr's should utilize a 2-level volume control; quieter volume within city limits.

Hi. You need a tripod, "no offence intended". I shot alot of train video before I got my tripod and many good shots I took could have been Great Shots. Still, well done, looks like a great spot to shoot trains. Love those Bright BNSF SD-70's. They all come past me brand new here, as EMD is about 60 miles away on CN's strathroy line. Keep shooting them trains, Kevin.

Thanks. And I do have a tripod. I just choose not to use it most of the time. I find it to be much more of a pain than anything. Most of the time we are chasing trains and not just in one spot, so the hassle of a tripod as the train is coming close is too much.
As for the ACe's, we hardly ever get them on the BNSF coal trains that run on the CP line. Most of the time, it would be SD70MAC's and now they are running a lot more GEVO's.
