A heartfelt tribute to the gentleman of cinema, Ronald Colman. : ) As the librarian that I got so many of his films from put it, they don't make them like that anymore.

There is one mistake in this video that I must mention. Mr. Colman did 21, not 22, American silents. Just wanted to clear that up, whew!

As a side note, I want to thank Lawrence J. Quirk and R. Dixon Smith for making the two books that I used as reference to Ronald Colman's films.

The song used is "Life In Technicolor" by Coldplay.

  • If I could, I would. When I can, I will. I love that one too. "The stars should be your pearls upon a string."

The song is called Life In Technicolor by Coldplay. The album I got it from was called Viva La Vida. :)

  • I'm looking for Ronald Colman's speech from "If I Were King" . . . do you have that to post? Thank you . . .

  • BRILLIANT!!!!!!

  • All great comments! I can't add anything. Mr. Colman was wonderful. His voice will transcend the ages!

  • @Danazawa Better remembered these days? I love him ! I had an argument about him last week in a pizza parlor, people remember him and not just the old folks.

  • The man's voice is like honey. No other actor had the unusual inflections he did,and I could listen to him all day.

If you are a fan, please watch "Random Harvest." Haul out the kleenex..sooooo romantic. My favorite .

  • Without a doubt one of - if not THEE - classiest actors of cinema history. A voice sent from the gods above & a classic handsome Englishman's face and demeanor. He was a fine actor but a fantastic 'presence'

  • Very very nice ... thank you. I have been watching and looking for a place to buy some of Colman's old movies ... particularly "The Devil To Pay". He was great in that, and it portayed a much nicer world than we see in movies these days. Thanks for this!

  • One of my favorite actors and I would love to see every film he ever made. Thank you for any films you may present to us.I loved the tribute. Thank you.

  • Thanks very much. Yes l loved the speech he made as quoted by you.
