  • I remember this nd when I saw it I was 7 so I ducked and covered and cried.

  • This is were the filmed "Bones" The bones on the Blue Line. Opening scene

  • No..is an attraction at universal studios,

  • Is that real?

  • oops meant only 6.7 compared to the 8.3 not that a 6.7 is to be taken lightly.

  • @jessicahongphan P.S. Any earthquake can be dangerous, and (usually) it's not the magnitude of the earthquake - it's a number of factors on what makes the earthquake dangerous. Take the '94 Northridge earthquake - only a 6.7, but the force of it's ground acceleration was deadly. In addition being in a tram in an earthquake is bit different than being at home or hotel, etc. I would hope Universal structures and conducts the earthquake portion of the ride in a safe manner. :)

  • @jessicahongphan Sorry, I didn't mean for it to be taken so seriously, I was being somewhat sarcastic (I thought the angry birds comment gave away) as I was a little disappointed in the ride when I went on it a few years ago.

I was born in California, grew up in the Bay Area near the fault line - so I've felt earthquakes, when I went on this a few years ago, it really didn't feel like an 8.3, maybe it was, I don't know.

  • theres a thrill of being in a earthquake.

  • @PrevanaDei I mean. Tourists comes here and goes through this. If they really made it 8.3 (They could have used a different scale back then), it would be DANGEROUS for everyone in the ride and the stimulation would be too much. They care about the guests' safety. You shouldn't be so biased about this.

  • Must have been better back then. I've been in 6.9 that was a lot worse than the "8.3" or whatever they say when I went a few years back. You probably couldn't sit on the tram and play angry birds on your cell phone, but still.

Secondly, who WANTS to experience a fake earthquake when in California? There are enough real ones here.
