If you're worried about your mental health, visit http://DoYouNeedTherapy.com. Here is what Freud is saying: "I started my professional activity as a neurologist, trying to bring relief to my neurotic patients. Under the influence of an old friend, and by my own efforts, I discovered some important new facts about the unconscious in psychic life, the role of instinctual urges, and so on. Out of these findings grew a new science, psychoanalysis, a part of psychology, and a new method of treatment of the neurosis. I had to pay heavily for this bit of good luck. People did not believe in my facts and thought my theories unsavory. Resistance was strong and unrelenting. In the end, I succeeded in acquiring pupils and building up an international psychoanalytic association. But the struggle is not yet over. Sigmund Freud."

  • His voice is not as I imagined

  • Interesting. It's exactly as I imagined - powerful arrogant, even though he was in poor health and near the end of his life when it was recorded.

  • I would say that he was speaking sincerely and frankly. He was indeed a neurologist, he tried to bring relief to neurotic patients, he did have an older friend (Breuer) and did discover some important new facts about psychic life. Psychoanalysis did grow out of those findings and was and is a part of psychology. It was a new treatment for neuroses. Freud did pay heavily for his theories and there was and is resistance to his theories.

...'oedipus-complex out of thin air have introduced into society a highly aberrant and

since EXPOSED view of humanity -again, 'exposed' only for the informed, Freud's discredited notions remaining largely active in the minds of the 'religious' masses.

So the promotion of Freud's work from A to Z is self-evident, and its massive flaws and his incredible scientific misconduct were covered up: freudism wasn't an 'individual job'.

That this is only starting to be realized today indicates what a fraud the entire field

...suggests a very alarming set of ethical priorities & abuse of power.

Freud is especially completely exposed today because of his blatant MISCONDUCT, hypnotically inducing fake memories of child abuse, I say fake, because though reported by Freud as 'memories', they weren't actually remembered by his patients, who reported them only after Freud's constant insisting that they come up

with some sexual stuff, applying presssure on their patients' heads and using ANY...

Freud's work has subsequently been seminal for an armada of jewish & typically zionist philosophers and intellectuals, who basically synthesiszed Marx & Freud and judaism into social theories promoted very successfully by the Frankfurt School fi.

' I don't think he was ever promoted by anything close to a majority.'

You obviously are fully unaware of how crucial theories and narratives emerge and

spread in society. Of course they don't incipiate from a 'majority'. They always

emerge from egotistical puppets promoted by stringpullers in well-connected circles,

dribbling into society from apex to base, NOT the other way around.

Of course you'll find this 'conspiratorial' & have bought into the absurd notion...

  • @suddenlyitsobvious Really? "The system"? That sounds far more like tabloid pseudo-thought than anything Freud ever wrote. I don't think he was ever promoted by anything close to a majority. He was marginalized within his own profession.

Have you read anything he wrote? My guess is no. Most of his critics don't bother. They just go on about "he did coke" and "he wanted to screw his mom" etc. which is about as much of a distortion as saying science brought us the atom bomb and AIDS.

  • Sigmund Freud Idiot who was totally full of shit!.

  • @suddenlyitsobvious did u hear about this book release: "the freud files" -why psychoanalysis never existed. think u'll like it :0
