I wanted to know why "they just happen"...
-
can gene mutation go indefinitely?
-
y do they just happen?

Excellent explanation!

Many people may think that mutation may be harmfull, some may be benifical. They can occur simontaniously and that certain mutation will pass on to their offspring, thus creating more gentic diversity

My original comment was there to address your claim that ALL mutations mess organisms up, clearly they do not. Many mutations are neutral (redundant codons help), some are lethal, a few are indeed beneficial. The mutation you were referring to, conferred resistance to a condition where even moderate resistance can have a significant impact on the health of the organism. The "hyper dense bones" needn't be indestructible stronger-than-titanium bones, better is better.

@RespectMyHate Incorrect. Speciation has been observed and the mechanics behind and emergence of new species is being observed currently.
