I heard that some Scandinavian country was looking into using such engines for their sub fleet...
since they dont use nuclear power.

Hot water for fuel and ice for cooling is rather misleading as to the operation of a Stirling. The 'fuel' is the temperature difference between the hot and cold.. they are both equally 'the fuel' yet neither are.

tesla turbine needs to be tested for efficiency. the power density should be great

its precisely this concept that will pull millions of megawatts from our oceans temperature difference from surface to floor, more so in the tropics where the temp differance is greater. in essence using the ocean as a solar energy storage tank and the stirling cycle as the method of extracting the stored solar energy. solar power around the clock and covers 70% of the surface of the planet

@Bluemag444717 Heat engines like this run better with a greater temperature difference, hence hot and cold sides.

To provide the the heat input, and heat rejection sink.

Put it in Sunlight ontop of an ice tray, not only is it more efficient, but it runs faster too

@acerkiwi cool is there any way you can do a tutorial on it?
Check out my new engine!

Is there a clear wall on the bases perimeter or is it wide open

It is enclosed in plastic to contain the pressure differentials.

Verry interesting use of this, do have any data on how eficient it is in the conversion of heat into energy? i am verry curious about this idea.

The efficiency is proberly quite low, but how many engines do you know that can run on a warm cup of tea?

my whole point exactly, there isnt much energy there, but it seems to do a good job converting that small amount into motion, i'm guessing it has fairely good effeciency.

Free piston engines are generating electricity with a thermal conversion of over 40%, using free solar energy, generating 10Kw.
