This is the short film "Proof" by Fandango director Kevin Reynolds. This was made in 1981 when he was a film student at USC. It features Marvin McIntyre as Truman Sparks, who went on to reprise this role in Fandango.

If you are a big fan of the movie Fandango, you will recognize much of the dialogue and scenes.

  • LMAO!  Thanks for posting this! I KNEW I had seen the Fandango scene before way back when I was in college in 77-82 and jumping at Talequah's Skydance DZ. Outstanding!

  • This film was shown to me by Sky Dive & BASE guru Carl Boenish in 1980 we watched this film in a living room in Palos Verdes Estates - Later many years I once again saw the Fandango version on VHS tape- and my mind reeled back to this memory of the PROOF - Thank You For Posting

    when I saw the VHS of the Costner flick I thought back to this original which I had seen in 81- thank you for the revelation -

  • I actually saw a private sceening of this in 1981 - in Rolling Hills (L.A.) with Carl Beonish famous Sky Dive camera Man - he shot the jump footage (?)
