If you are ever mean to him, or ever pass any Barter checks, he takes it very, very personally.
Given how I think he's really quite a dick though (expanded on the more your play), I don't really mind him dying anymore.

Dead Money: great story, great idea, great characters. The small parts adding to the whole of the plan (the auto-doc, voices, the sudden-doom computer log, etc) - all fantastic.
...*sigh* but let down by the overuse of the radio and invulnerable-hologram mechanics. The radios in particular got ridiculous (and frustrating) fast - why does everyone own a half dozen radios each? That they all left on? Many of which are BULLET-PROOF?
And navigating that noodle map was trial and error.
Mostly error.

Dead money had amazing story and emotions but the gameplay kind of let me down.

The endgame always make me cry. The music is just so emotional.

@yeahmynameisderek good ending cutscene is a relic from gaming in their better times.

MAN WHAT A GAME!

@dokterdest It doesen't affect to the ending, if you kill elijah or trap him in the vault
I swear, the Fallout games have the best story-lines. Watching these little end-game clips just gives me chills. In my opinion, that's how you know a game kicks ass.

I loved this DLC. I enjoyed it because it was a fight to survive.
