... If further explanation is needed, this is important because the speaker goes over how the commitee(s) investigating this incident were stacked with the "right people" to ensure that the "right conclusion" was reached, while still maintaining appearances of properly conducted inquiry.
We see on a daily basis how corrupt society at large is; how the elite favor themselves & always manage to skate or find scapegoats to sacrifice for their misdeeds. So sad to see it happens at universities too.

@SamosIMP Maybe it' was more important than you realize, because a when a student tries to ask an excellent & rational question of a US Senator at a public forum, held at a major, publicly owned university in the United States of America, gets the police "sicked" on him for it & ends up getting tasered for his objections, and the action is upheld by the legal system, this implies that something very "dark" is happening to our country & we'd damm-well better pay attention!
