The hissing electronic sound only audible when the GPU is on full load, and its a brand new sapphire 6770. I have overclocked it to 850mhz, when the default is 775mhz. Is the sound anyway related to the overclocking?
hi man this tutorial is greate but i have bought power suppply and then i heard strange noise after i recorded from my mic so i taked the mic from my pc and put it into my lpatop and the noise is gone so what i showd do please do i shoud put a peice of wood under my pc or what and how to ground my pc thank you
Here's a riddle for you. Why is it that my PC makes an odd noise (possibly like you're talking about here) in Windows XP, but does NOT make that noise in Windows 7? It does it when I'm in Firefox, and as soon as I exit Firefox, it goes quiet.
great info, i had this problem on my monitor, a viewsonic! and then it failed and had to do service to fix it, they change the power suply, now i discover that i have the same noise coming out of my computer, and some times my system hangs and there is nothing i can do bot too turn it off and then on again..
I think i have to replace my power suply from my PC...
is it posible that my computer is hanging for this reason?

@gparada83 Doesn't sound like the PSU.
More like a software issue or a GPU (graphics card) issue.

i asked a RMA for the psu , since i clearly identified the noise is comming from there.
maybe with a new 1 ,it wont be as annoying while im gaming.
