The point isn't that she's actually teaching you how to do it, as much as it is to show that anyone can do it quickly (20 minutes at most). Never yet seen an instructional video where I could do the task as quickly as the well-rehearsed person doing the demo.

You make a lot of good points. I found myself wondering what she was doing with the floppy -- it sounded like it was being inserted and removed from the machine, but I wasn't sure.

Possibly the worst how-to video I've seen. Nothing but someone reading off the screen, with no indication whatsoever of what is being accomplished (either in whole or in part), why any of the choices are made, or what to do if local circumstances differ. E.g. if your computer lacks a floppy drive, as most do, or has only a USB floppy; or if your campus hides its IP addresses behind a firewall. Etc. etc.
This is great!

Hurray for LOCKSS' community-based approach to preservation! Not only do lots of copies keep stuff safe (the premise behind the distributed digital preservation approach pioneered by the LOCKSS team at Stanford), but it doesn't take a lot of time or effort or money or technological know-how to keep your stuff safe when you're using this software. Well done, LOCKSS, and thank you Angela for demonstrating to the community how easy it is to set up a LOCKSS box!
