@nohabody I would love to see an older spider-man (50's, 60's even?) in the main continuity, but I doubt Marvel will ever let him age.
-
@goku43651 I like how he used to be before getting married but that doesn't mean I want him to stay that way forever. Spider-Man ages, time moves on. I liked how he progressed in life with the marriage. He can't stay single and keep searching for girlfriends forever. OMD was a huge backwards step in Spider-Man's character development. I'll leave you with something to think about: 50 years from now, do you really wanna read about man in his late 30s still having problems finding a girl?
-
im kinda glad that peter and mj arent married anymore because everyone like spidey how he use tio be better with his never getting the girl or webshooters so yeah thank you marvel for giving us back the real Spider-man
-
I think spider-man should never get married again because it seems that everytime he is close to marriage or married, something out of the blue happens that just turns the comic book world upside down! (Ex Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane).

I always thought Spidey's marriage made him interesting, there are not that many married superheroes.
It was also a huge fuck you to the fans of spider-man by contradicting his entire philosophy as a hero, "With great power comes great responsibility". He did the most selfish and irresponsible thing, essentially making a deal with a devil.
Some hero. Fuck you Joe Quesada. Thanks for flushing 20 years of Spider-Man down the toilet.

Ho iniziato a leggere SM nel '96, ho smesso qualche mese dopo OMD. Ogni tanto lo sfoglio in edicola, lo ricomprerò solo quando le cose torneranno come prima.
-
@Bryc597 It's not that, it's how they broke up and why. There's a lot of reasons why everyone hates it but it's too much to talk about.
-
a big FUCK YOU to mephisto for ruining SM's marrige life !!
-
Brand New Day is a terrible direction for the Spider-Man franchise, anyone who likes it isnt a true fan

I hate Joe Quesada for ruining twenty years of happy marriage. He's gone out of his way to burn the fans who liked the marriage.
And the way he did it was so outrageous that I can't believe there wasn't a writer's revolt. A deal with Mephistopheles to save the life of a dying old woman who wanted to be with her deceased husband again.
Seriously? Why is a deal with the devil more preferable than just simple divorce?! I'll tell you why, because divorce is reversible. And Joe wants Spidey single.

OMD was withouyt a doubt the saddest a comic has ever made me. BUT i would be lying if i said i didn't like brand new day. And i honestly didn't want to.
It still is sad to me but i like to think they will eventually end up with each other again. after all love conquers all right?
