I remember out hunting and hearing this breaking on the radio was a pretty sick day my aunt lost her house in the flood, just unbelievable things to see

Read the book "Red River Rising" by Ashley Shelby. Scientists at the University of North Dakota predicted the flood, but the Grand Forks Herald wrote such a harsh editorial that the scientists basically shut their mouths about their prediction. It's all in Shelby's fine book.
