As in the case of Aelita Andre, Marla Olmstead, too, uses her tactile senses to actively live out her love affair with colors. It is about feeling the paint, feeling it swirling and swooshing, dipping and dabbing, padding and tossing ... What ever happens, happens. There is no fear of messing up, all is spontaneous and intuitive. I admire seeing this freedom unfolding! How liberating! This is why Picasso said it took him a lifetime to paint like a child. This is what an original truly is:))
