Alliance Française du North Shore

Last week I attended a meeting of the Alliance Française du North Shore at the Wilmette Public Library. The group traces its history back nearly a hundred years, to the French Club of Evanston.

I was the guest of Bonnie Larson, an Alliance Française member who is a former French teacher. Bonnie is currently a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker's Winnetka North office.

Prior to the meeting Bonnie introduced me to Margot Steinhart, the Alliance Française president, who gave me an overview of the group's activities in both French and English.
