This was the broadcast that ended "almost golden" Jessica's career. Just 20 days later, Savitch perished in an automobile accident.

Jessica Savitch would have been 62 y.o. this year if it wasn't for that automobile accident that wasted her life. The accident would have been prevented if her driver Martin Fischbein did not drive during the heavy rainfall. he also perished too.

Jessica unfortunately had a coccaine problem for much of her late career as pressures mounted. After many tries she finally kicked the habit only to die tragically just weeks later after this taping

I LOVED her accent when I was younger (smile). Her voice rang out to me when I happened to see her again in another video here, and I remembered how "sophisticated-professional" she could sound to my young ears back then.

Yeah, I think I was kinda turned on -- haha.
