Update: Original Release
The idea is to control the Voltage within the Cell. Using the internal resistance of the cell it self. From my research on neutral plates, it will only have to make minor adjustments to each cell, mostly on the outer most cells. The Zener Diode really represents the placement of a regulator, but is the simplest of the regulators. A Zener will still have to handle some current. Not sure how much. Maybe more then what Zeners are currently made to handle.

  • The voltage I listed were just easy to divide by the # of cells. I know the 2 volt range is the sweet spot. What I am unsure about is how much current the Zener will have to handle.

  • Would you use 3 Zener diodes in series between the neutrals, dropping 0.7 volts across each one for a total voltage of 2.1v from one neutral to the next?

I could not figure out how the Diode was supposed to work from the neutral plate to ground.

    Thanks,

    Bob Campbell

  • go ahead and try it ,but from my tests the best MMW was at 2.2v
