Defender vs. Rover 416

A very short video of a failed project with a Rover 416. I bought the car as the head-gasket had failed, but once the engine was stripped we found that it was much worse than expected. The car was in a terrible condition so we weighed it in. BTW, I've always been a fan of Rovers so it was a shame to give in but it really wasn't worth while continuing with. Sorry there is no sound.

A little tug of war between a Land Rover Defender and a Rover 416.

The Rover was beyond repair and had to be scraped, but it was facing the wrong way for towing.

@DibbersPage They are one of the few cars I know how to work on. I've had 8 of them including the older shapes and 200s. They are a good car, but this one wasn't so-much a workhorse as a lame-mule. :)

@g4rdenspoon The one i had was the 2.0-litre turbo diesel with intercooler, yup the posh one hahahahha, i used to do Newcastle and back from north London every weekend to see my woman as well of thousands of miles for my job at the time, never missed a beat Bro H&R

@DibbersPage I had one of those, it was brilliant; reliable and more economical than the 1-year-old Mondeo diesel I have now.
