Every relationship I've been in say I keep people out, I wont let anyone get close, . I dont understand this at all. No one has ever taken the time to help me understand this . All I've ever ever wanted is to love and be loved. Why cant I see what others clearly can, especially when my perspective on it seems to be open to intimacy. i want to be loved.

Emotional intimacy is sharing and being vulnerable. This requires believing that someone you trust will not threaten your vulnerability. People can have physical intimacy (sex) with or without emotional intimacy.
