I've never heard it pronounce peOnie. It's interesting. She also says folage though. I like her series of videos.

@McSwammich Actually, she is correct.
In Ohio, Atlanta, the Carolina's, D.C., California and Washington State I've variously heard "pie-knee's", "pee O nees" and "PEE o nee".
I personally prefer PEE o nee.
I don't think it's a yeehaw thing as much as a "where in The Old Country did your Grandpa come from?" sort of thing -- and thus regional.
I believe the ant thing is an old wives tale, but she's right; if they aren't a huge anthill / swarm, leave them alone. Even spiders do good ;-)

No, darling, they are pronounced PEE o nee, everywhere. Just because people in yeehaw pronounce the name incorrectly, don't make it a regional thing.
