the real rivalry in my eyes is LA vs SD why so many comebacks against each other usually 1 run ball games and just great pitching dules if LA sweeps SD they usally sweep LA right back I love to say DODGERS PADRES is wonderful Go DODGERS 4ever blue crew SF vs LA its new york so screw east coast crap SO CAL 4 LIFE

In my honest opinion as a diehard Dodgers fan, San Diego Padres fans don't deserve to chant "BEAT LA" on three reasons:
1. You guys aren't a good team (seriously.)
2. Nobody even shows up to that beautiful downtown ballpark unless we're playing the Padres (which is really sad)
3. SAN DIEGO IS LOCATED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (in which 90% is virtually the greater Los Angeles area, not including SD, I'm just saying this for laughs)

Its all in good sports fun.. And the most awesome moment as a Padre fan was in 2008 (after your comeback vs. the Padres in LA in 2006), when we retaliated by coming back from a 1-6 deficit to win the game in the bottom of the 9th, therefore sweeping the series. some guy outside had a sign saying "jesus loves the dodgers.i was like, well, the "hey- zus must be a janitor cause we just swept your ass." it all comes around.. Everone loves a good rivalry. Props to being a die hard fan.....:)

It's all good. I actually thought it was funny seeing the Friar stomping on our logo, but the " BEAT L.A. " chant in SD could never reach the " hate " level as in SF. Here's to the upcoming baseball season....GO DODGERS !!!
