so for $35, you can ride with the engineer in an ex-BN GP9 on the highest tourist line in the US. The engineer I had (there are different engineers for different days) worked for BNSF for 3 years. He worked out of denver but quit for the love of this tourist line or because of the weird hours on the BNSF (that's my guess and i'm sticking to it). He worked over the Moffat Tunnel (trackage rights) as well as the ex C&S line to Pueblo. Since the Milybdenum mine is reopening in Climax, the railroad has looked into freight rail, only to find out that trucks are faster. The route was sold by BN in the eighties for TEN dollars.
I've got $50, wonder what I could've gotten.
